I was met by a New York Greeters man and he took me on an African American tour of Harlem, seeing the churches and all the significant places around there from an insiders point of view. It was pretty cool since this little white girl from Australia wouldn't have a clue where to start looking in Harlem for all the interesting places.

The best CHEAP chinese restaurant in the city is Wo Hops on 17 Mott st. They have two restaurants next to each other but go to the one where you have to go downstairs into a basement. I'll be honest, it may be no Mr. Chows but you cannot find better for the price you pay.

I like Chinese foods and other delicacies.
I always go to China Town whenever I visit big cities, like San Francisco and Los Angeles.
I like China Town in NYC although it seems small to me.
The restaurants by the river in NYC are not a match to SF's Fishermen's Warp.

Park near the Virgin Megastore and walk into Chinatown. When you get 2 blocks in take a left. Third door on your left will be this vietnemeese resturant that has no name on the door. It is the best in the city.

ground zero. it was my favorite part about new york city, it really mde you reflect on the events. and knowing that right where you are standing is where the attacks actually took place really gives you a rush.
