The correct word would be collapsed, because collapsed means fell down, which is something you might do when you have a heart attack. Limped is what you do when you hurt your foot and try to walk. Tripped is when you are walking and then you fall over something.

Collapsed describes what happens to him. The other two hint at something happening to his speach pattern and are a little confusing.

Stick with Collapsed.
