Just to warn you there scammers, they published me and I know it. They make you pay a fee and everything, they try to get you to pay more and more money. It's hard to find a legitimate poetry place or publisher, I've tried but if they want you to pay there almost always scammers. It's hard to find truth in the writing world, Good luck

Poetry.com is a vanity publisher although they try and make it seem as though they are something more. They will publish poems of the so-called "finalists" in their never ending contests in books that they then sell to the poets for exorbitant fees. the books will never be offered in any book store for sale to the general public.

I submitted a poem to them which I literally wrote in five minuets and they've been ranting on about it for the past six months, telling me how great it is and asking me if I want to buy books with my poem in it or get memberships or go to conventions.
Just delete anything they send you, that's what I do. They're more than welcome to publish my five minuet poem if they want, but I'm not putting any money towards it.
