I think some souls recognize each other as a mate and you feel that and it pulls you toward the other person. It may not instantly be love, but all the possibilities are there.

I don't believe in "love at first sight". It's more like Lust at first sight. I do think there's such a thing where two people can feel a natural affinity the moment their eyes meet. I can't explaint it, but it has happened to me. Where one feels an immediate connection, a can instantly know this person is going to play a significant role in your life. I felt that the moment I met my boyfriend. It took almost 2 yrs for us to finally get together, but I knew it was going to happen at some point.

A person can meet someone and instantly fall in lust.
Lust can form into love, but love takes so many other things and so many other forms that it is not possible to say you're in love with someone after seeing them one time. I do believe in love at first sight, but I don't believe that you know about it at first sight.

It can be an infactuation or a crush but that feeling can wear off pretty fast for most people. I felt that way about guys when used go on first dates (when I was younger) and then I realized maybe I just got excited by hanging out with someone different. And there are times the infactuation stays with you for a lifetime. I have been someone for 5 years, and I still feel the same way I felt for him on the first day.

It happened to me 6 years ago a close friend of my parents he was like a second father to me had just been devorced and was with a new lady he met 2 hrs away and he told me that his girl friends daughter would be perfict for me I should meet her. but there was no way she lived 2hrs away and I was planing to stay single for life (not nessarly by choice) any way when ever she was coming down for a vist i would convently be gone till one day my brother and I were at a friends house drinking and ran out of liqure so he went home to get more only for my dad to kick her out of the house with my brother and hers to come to the party well to make a long story short me and her stayed up till the brake of dawn talking and after we went to bed (seperatly) I told my self we would be married some day
6 years later Im still in love with her

I think so.
My husband and I have been together for 7 years, married for almost 3. When I met him we both were at crossroads in our life but something said this is the one. This is the guy. Ride the storm. I'm glad I did. Many ups and downs to get where we are, but my intuition paid off in the long run.

You can fall into infatuation, and then later on realize that you also love the person, after you get to know them. But love comes from knowing someone really well.

I believe they can. Hell you dont even have to meet the person, just talk to them and fall in love. I know when I met my hubby for the first time I knew he was going to be mine. That was two years before we started dating.

Yes, that happened with my husband and me, or at least it felt that way. Actually, probably if you dissect it, we were both very attracted to each other from the beginning and as a result spent so much time together that we were soon in love for real.
