I have 2 cats, one female and one male. I still have yet to get my male fixed but I'm working on it. It will have to be after Christmas, just too much going on right now. Anyway, last night I wake up to this ungodly sounding scream coming from the dining room window where they both like to sit and look outside. I thought it was the male raping the female but she is fixed and I've never seen him actually try to do anything to her like that. Anyway, I ran in the room and see what was going on and the male is falling out of the window onto the floor and the female is in the window screaming at a cat that is outside. What in the world was she doing by acting that way? She never acted that way before when she saw another cat. She's an inside cat and doesn't see many other cats but still, what was the reason behind all the commotion?

HI Erika...it's possible she was meowing loudly enough to warn the other feline invader to go away since it was encroaching her territorial grounds. Some cats will react in such a way when they feel their turf is being compromised.

she doesnt want another cat around and taking over her perch. My cat will smack me if i try and remove her. We have a freak cat that runs up to our window smacks it and runs away, my cat freaks. They are just defending territory!
