And when I open up Add/Remove Programs it gives me and error saying "Run Dll as an App has encountered a problem and has to close. I think it all started after downloading something on Limewire but im not for sure. It just shut down and wouldn't open back up and then i noticed other files were jacked too. I dont know what the problem and i tried a virus scan using Mcafee and I tried Registry Mechanic and I still have a problem. Please help.

I tried everything the other guys told me except reformat. I dont really want to do that. Everthing the told me showed no problems.

I'm telling you people don't download free music off the internet. It's filled with viruses, adaware, trojan horses, etc. You will be lucky if you can remove everything. Sounds like a nasty virus and you might have to reformat your hard drive and reinstall windows to even get your pc to function normally. You may be able to delete the files through the command prompt if you know how to delete files from there. It's fairly easy. type "cd" and the name of your folder. Keep typing cd until you get to the specific folder/directory. If you don't know the name, press "dir" to list all the file names and use the command "del" plus the file name to delete all the files associated with that program. Good luck. Don't download music off the internet, you're only asking for problems, and a viruses could be the least of your problems. Be happy it's not a logic bomb or someone in the middle trying to steal your idenitity.

It sounds like you've been Hijacked with a virus. I recommend getting a good anti-spyware program to scan your computer. In example AVG is pretty good. Some other good free anti spyware programs are Ad-Aware SE Personal, Avast Antivirus, Ewido Security Suite, CWS Shredder, Spysubtract. You are going to also probably need to download Hijackthis. Please be careful with Hijackthis, it will generate a log for you of all the program that you are currently using and your homepages, etc..., I suggest you scan and save a log and going to one of the google or yahoo forums and posting up your Hijackthis Log in order so that they can give you direction on what to delete. You can mess up your computer if you delete the wrong things, so be careful on what you delete. You can find most of these programs at http://www.fixyourcomputer.blogspot.com or do an internet search. If you are unable to run these programs, then do it thru safemode by pressing F8 on startup and choosing to run programs on safemode. Good luck.

You could try the System Restore which takes you back to a time when your computer was working good. Go To:
start
programs
accessories
systems tools
system restore
This process is completely reversable. And does not remove your personal files. Just go back one checkpoint at a time until your puter is working good again.
This is not the same as reformatting.

Dude sorry but refomating is your only chance of fixing it.Got to be careful with Limewire.Always check the size of the file.If it's smaller then it should be then it's a virus. Also it's wish to run a virus check on the file before running it.
