In the US they say he 'gay'. But it is a cultural thing. In many cultures men wear earing on one ear only. Most of the cultures, men do wear ring if they are married. That also depending on the culture which finger they wear the wedding band. So you cannot make any meaning about wearing ring on the left or right ear or left or right hand.

If the man is married it means he doesn't want people to know he is married. It sounds to me like shady guy who wants all the girls to think he is single. I'd have to ask his wife why he doesn't wear his wedding band?
