Well, I don't believe in over the counter stuff! I believe that lots of water---and honey with lemon -- at least 4 to 8 cups a day will make your cough go away within a week.

Serious.

I don't know of any OTC medicine that is good for children under 2 years of age. If for some reason you don't have access to your doctor's advice, call a pharmacist for some suggestions.

>>>>>>>> ATTENTION !!! <<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Ava is right that Honey and lemon will work but NEVER EVER EVER GIVE HONEY TO A CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 3! It can be fatal!

(But Ava, as an adult I do like your remedy)

Good luck!

With a 10 month old its tricky. If you're worried about selecting the right meds, try giving your child some chamomile tea thats luke warm first..if the warm fluid doesnt offer some relief,I would call you're local hospital's triage nurse and see if they can recommend something OTC. I usually gave my daughter triaminiac and it worked like a charm. Good Luck and get that sweetie pie better! :-)

You should not ask Yahoo for this because all kinds of non-experts will answer the question. The best person to ask is the baby's doctor; the next best is a pharmacist.

any that you'd buy will say consult a physician, so i'd go for a kid's brand and then ask the pharmacist for directions or at least aske them for the brand they'd recommend.
