i guess you got an answer
un-installing is pretty easy ,getting it back ....next to impossible

just remember that it is part of your operating system
if you un-install it
you probably cannot install it again
as you will have to buy it
the 2007 version is out

do not un-install your core windows components unless you have absolutely no space on your hard disk
even then ,you should use disk clean-up
not un-install windows components
the reason for this is that microsoft ,in order to suppress other
operating systems
bundles most of its software together
un-installing one affects the other
a reason why it is almost impossible to run another operating system on your pc
while you can do so on a mac

if i were you , i would let it be
does not affect you if it remains ,even if you do not use it

but it is your call
if you do want to un-install
recommend doing it in safe mode
when your pc starts
press f8
select safe mode
un-install
