I bought a defender pro 5-in-1...2007 anti/virus/firewall/pc cleaner from a major chain outlet and I have tried every thing but kicking the person and co. that sold it to me to get it on my computer to no avail..my computer tells me it's a fake! the password and licence id that is supposed to allow me to use it tell me my pass word is not right WHAT A HEAD ACHE, these stores won't help because of being software,they say no refund.HELP,(someone) I finally bought a Mc Afee 2007, but I don't believe a co. should be selling these if they are no good.

If a program is that hard to install, do you think it will be any easier to use? If I can't get a program to install, I just assume it wasn't meant to be and move on. Why not give the software to a friend at a yankee swap or stocking stuffer. If they have a mac all the better.

Don't worry about the few dollars spent on the software at a major retail store, chances are the major retail giant you purchased it at took most of the profit and the actual company may end up with a few dollars for their efforts.

Also you could try returning it with other gifts the day after xmas they tend to relax their policies due to the overwhelming number of returns.

Wal-Mart is good for that... :-)

The CD Package should have tech support information on it for the software, but I always try the free "Trial" Periods then I make up my mind which one is worth the Buck. Good Luck
