Is hepatitis B as bad as having HIV? If one has it, does it mean his/her life is pretty much done?

Hep B might not be fun for some people but its not as serious as HIV. HIV is more fatal and remember there is a vaccine to prevent Hep B.

Most people who get Hep B get better. Your immune system is usually able to fight it off on it's own. Even people who don't ever get over it can lead normal lives.
