I have fine hair that's oily at the top and dry in the ends, hence massive amounts of split ends and flyaways.

I need a new leave-in conditioner that I can buy at drugstores that won't leave my hair greasy and actually works. Any suggestions?

Thanks. ;O)

Redken makes good leave in conditioners. Extreme CAT Protein Reconstructing Treatment is the one I'd recommend for you. It is a salon product but you can get it at Ulta. Ulta has specials and coupons which help.

The other suggestion is to apply a tiny amount of jojoba oil to the ends of your hair. You can apply it at night as a deep conditioning treatment or you can use it after drying your hair in the morning. I like the gloss it imparts, that it doesn't have a smell and that it shampoos out easily.

Trader Joe's carries the Dessert Essence brand. Even though it is an oil, it didn't cause me to break out.

I like to use Infusium 23. It works really well. It doesn't make your hair oily, but if you put it in when your hair is really wet, it will dry in the ends kind of crunchy (like you've been at the beach or something), so just brush it again before it is all the way dry or put it in after your hair has dried a little bit. Shine spray will help with the fly-aways. I really like Citrus Shine. You can get both of these at most any drug stores for under $5 each.
