Haha well I'm American so I don't know exactly what 73 kgs is equal to, but anywho...
I found the most effective was just stop eating when you're full. It sounds obvious but most people keep eating, for some reason, even after they're full. This can be done better by eating slowly so your mind will have time to process when your stomach is full and let you know.
Cardio is absolutely essential, at least twenty minutes a day. No matter how many calories you cut, you cannot safely lose weight without cardio.
Also, just making healthier choices, such as eating fruit instead of greasy snacks helps.
Good luck on your new healthy ways!!

Heres what you need to do if you are following Indian Diet:
Morning (about 8-9am): Cereal with milk, preferably wheat flakes 1 cup with low fat milk
Snack at 11-11:30: one banana or an apple or few carrots
Lunch: 1:30 -2 PM 1 Cup Rice or 3 Small Rotis with
Dal/ Low fat curry i.e curry cooked with less oil/ meat 50 gms.
1 Cup Curd/Yooghurt
Snack: 5:30 PM: a fistful of peanuts or 2 marie biscuits with tea
Dinner: 8 PM: Same as Lunch or lighter.
Make sure you have 8 glasses of water in a day. Do not let yourself go hungry more than 4-5 hours at a stretch.
Walk atleast 3 Kms at a decent pace. Dont stress out as you might not lose lot of weight.
Make this your lifestyle change.
Make sure you are getting enough protiens in a day
Dont take too many starch items such as White Bread, Maida Roti, White Rice etc.
When you eat small portions at shorter intervals, your body metabolism increases and burns the calories.
If you eat large meals, body converts them into fat as it cannot burn as fast as you are consuming.
Dont starve as the body goes into starvation mode and saves all food you eat as fat. Instead it will start buring your muscle.
Your minimum daily calorie intake should be 1400 cals. If you fall below, your body goes into starvation. Good luck.

Many patients ask me how they can slim down. I recommend that people eat right and exercise. However, if they would like a little "help", I suggest using natural Hoodia (it's important to note that not all Hoodia works well, even if the bottle says "pure" or "standard").
The Hoodia sold at http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php is in my opinion the best Hoodia on the market. It's pure, has no side effects, and they give you a free 15 day sample (there is a $7.99 shipping and handling charge, but they also give you free recipe and diet guides). My patients have seen fantastic results with this particular Hoodia.

One need not starve to lose weight.Thats widely held misconception. For your height, you require 1400 calories in a day.Consult a dietitian and also do regular exercise in form of walking, half an hour a day,5 days in a week.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

it depends on if you're a boy or girl, and if you're muscular or just plain fat. if you're fat, try drinking lots of water instead of soda or other drinks, and eat a salad or healthy sandwich instead of unhealthy foods. don't take up any diet that you feel you can't handle. also, try to fit some exercise into your everyday routine. instead of walking the dog, run with the dog. do sit-ups or run on a treadmill while you watch tv. you get my drift.

aradhana, its a tricky qn.
eating food is stored in body and provides with energy now & then.
w8 do u mean by starving........
the food which u like most may be a fatty food. so, if u have to avoid it, to reduce wt, u r starving. if u live on liquid diet to reduce wt, even then u r starving!
starving in one or other form is necessary to reduce wt. there is no soln apart from starving for reducing the wt.
