Why would a man who likes you look at your wedding ring, and ask if you were married?

Why would he flirt all the time and then ask that question with an angry voice and look?

No, I wasn't leading him on. I really like him and he knows about my uncertain future.

Because women sometimes keep them on even after they are divorced, or they will sometimes wear a fake one to keep most men away.

If you're not wearing a wedding ring that doesn't mean that you aren't married, so why does wearing a wedding ring necessarily mean that you are married?

Edit: Maybe he didn't see it before (maybe you were keeping it hidden) and your behaviour towards him had been one of flirting. So he becomes angry that you were being deceptive towards him.

You might not see it as leading him on but that doesn't mean he sees it that way.

He is making what we call "small talk" in the hope of starting a conversation with you and finding out more about you.

Or maybe he did not realise you were married until he saw the ring and just asked to make sure.

Somtimes women just wear rings on thier finger just because. Sometimes they just try to keep the men away. Most of the time I think they ask just to see if maybe they still have a chance. Or just maybe but i doubt it , it could be a conversation starter.

Quite simply because it is not uncommon for chicks to wear what appears to be a wedding ring to disguise themselves as married. It certainly can't do any harm to ask.

Hoping you were divorced or widowed perhaps but still wearing the ring...or maybe the question is such a habit that it sprang out, in spite of him seeing the ring on your finger.

Wishful thinking perhaps....maybe he hope you are just wearing the ring on that particular finger because it fits nice...or you are pretending....ect....!!

He was asking you in an indirect way if you wanted to have an affair with him, that's all. I take it from your question you don't. Good for you, because he's obviously a jackass.
