For many people, God should be like an director watching us, but I don't think so...

I like to think in one God too big to get mad, to take revenge, to kill people, one only God and we are part of that God.

Think about the human body, is the most wonderful thing in the universe but, good and bad things collide in human body.

Now think bigger, the Universe and more (probably God) is like the human body, good and bat things happen making life keep running and, if you notice there's more good things than bad. We only have to live trying to make the more good things possible to keep the whole system running and besides that feeling good.

I like to think like this, I just try to make my best everyday....

I do not know why God allows the tragic things that go on in this world. But what I know is that God is on the throne, He is on the job. And He knows how to get the job done.

Even the devil is God's devil. We like to think that God is in control of only the positive side of nature, but God is in charge of the totality of nature. He allows a lot of bad stuff to happen to teach us something what we must learn fast. And we are here to help each other out.

God created people, in doing so, he also gave us the right to free will.

Im no expert, but no matter what religion or beliefs anyone has, Im sure all people should understand that we are the ones destroying this world.

We hurt each other, we destroy our land and nature, animals. We start wars, kill children, choose not to care about other human beings who are dying of starvation.

But if God created humans and chose to control us, our minds, every action we make, our thoughts...

the world would be a better place but

there wouldn't be much point in creating humans in the first place.

That's just what I think anyway.

While tragic things happening are awful to think about or deal with, I believe that they still happen for a reason...maybe it's karma. I've experienced one person in my family having every kind of illness you can think of and they experienced incredible suffering. Before we become physical beings, I've heard that we all agreed to the good and bad things that will happen to us in life that help our sports grow and learn. Maybe they have to go through that so others in their circle won't have too or they are repaying a favor that you did in a past life. Hope this kind of helps and is better than the diarrhea answer.

We cannot understand everything ... I know that God grieves these things more than we do.
God has given us free will because he does not want us to be robots. As a result we have chosen to rebel against God, and have a broken and fallen world - which is not God's will.
The tragic things that happen are a result of these things - God will not intervene to force us to follow him, and he will not always intervene into what tragedies we have created.
We have to trust in his perfect wisdom and will - which we will not always understand - but always knowing that though we don't and cannot always understand he is perfect and loving.
The key? Prayer and trust. When we pray we put it into his hands, and can rest in that.

Hundreds of millions prayed for your god to stop Hitler before he caused 30+ million to die during WWII and he did NOTHING. A simple little blood clot would have done the trick, say in 1934, but NOOOOOO. If this god of yours could turn a good woman into a pillar of salt for looking over her shoulder, why couldn't he answer the prayers to end evil. Either your god is heartless, powerless, both, or does not exist at all.

Much of what is contributed to God isn't him at all. Much of the trouble in the world today comes from the sins of mankind. Wars, famine, and persecution are all sinful or careless behavior of mankind.
God gave each and every person a free will to chose between what is right and doing what Satan wants. Most people chose the easiest path over what is right.

this is a question many people have. As a catholic, I have been taught many things about this; some I agree with, some not. Truly, I believe suffering brings compassion. I work with very poor, mentally ill people who have been through the adult and juvenile justice system. I don't know why those things happened to them. Maybe they had a lesson to learn. maybe they will find out in time. Maybe I was sent to do my job to help these people? I don't know. God work in mysterious ways....not always clear, but in time, meaning tends to reveal itself

This is a really common question... if God really loves us, WHY would he let these crappy things happen to us? The answer: God has a fate for all of us. He knows when it's our time to go. And not only that, but He tests our faith, and in return makes us stronger. I have depression. Everyday is a battle... I cut myself and everything. I was in the early stages of aenorexia through middle school. I was molested. My parents went through a divorce. I had a disease called HSP during childhood. All of these bad things happened.... but they made me who I am today. Although God still tests my faith and puts me through challenges every day, I give him all the glory for having faith in ME also... and helping me fight. And when the day comes that he doesn't help me fight, I'll know it's my time. And once that time comes... I'll see him in Heaven and it will be the greatest day of my life. A lot of times we can't comprehend God's plan. Good comes out of everything although we may not see it at the time... or ever even. That's what testing faith is all about though. In the Bible, a man named Job had his faith tested. He got a disease, he lost all of his land, his family, and his friends. He was very sick and depressed. But he remained faithful to God and trusted Him through it all. And in return, after he went through his struggles he was rewarded greatly. God is good..... we may not understand why He's doing the things He does at the time, but know that even pain is in His perfect plan. Pain that will make us stronger... if you have any more questions, feel free to email me. God bless!

Would you prefer an angry God wielding lightening bolts and riding in a fiery chariot being pulled by flying horses who comes down and inhibits Man's actions? No I dont think you do.

God gives each and everyone of us the ability to right the wrongs of the Earth. It's up to us to use this ability. Unfortunately Man is known to hurt his brother.
