My husband was misdiagnosed for over a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very upset over this. The cancer was the worst in his throat. He had to have surgery. They removed his voice box, lymph nodes on both sides and part of an artery on the right side of his neck. The doctor kept treating him for strep throat. I took him to a different doctor and he ran the test and found the cancer. So yes it can be missed.
