It's time for play-doh. Another fun activity at this age is mixing shaving cream and glue (2 parts cream to one part glue). You can add food coloring. Give her a sponge and paint on paper. It dries puffy and is so much fun (smells good too).

I love Kindermusik for my babies and toddlers. When you go to class, the instructor teaches you games and song to do at home. You get 2 cds for home, an activity book, plus an instrument. Check the phone book. It's worth the money. Have fun!

Playdough is great!! It is non toxic so if they eat it, no big deal. I mean don't just let her. I used to say to my boy's yuck yuck when they would eat it. Also non toxic markers and crayons are great. It helps with their coordination. At first all they can do is swipe at the paper. Sometimes my kids would hit the paper, sometimes they missed. I also used to hold their hands and help them write. Non-toxic finger paint is great also. Notice a trend??? LOL! I did all kinds of things with my kids as long as it's non-toxic and completly supervised. Another thing my boys liked was water on their highchair tray. I would take of their clothes and we would splash away. Use warm water and remember all this stuff makes a HUGE mess. LOL Have fun!!!!

Go check out the local park or the library. Also sign up for a free class at Gymboree or another place like it. Search the web for a mommy and me group in your area... Good luck and happy holidays!

I would take her to the park or/and some place where other parents get together to sing and play with their kiddies!(like baby gamboree) you could also try introducing books to her. Try reading to her! She sounds pretty intelligent so you could also introduce letters and numbers to her. However, you want to introduce her to playing by herself...create independence! You only do this for a short time during the day! You can call your peditrician and ask them for some suggestion!

i agree with going to the Mommy & me play gorups.

you could check out web-sites,like 'family fun' and find age appropriate things for you and your daughter to do.
i have a 5 year old, we get lots of ideas out of their magazines.(love it)

finger paints and lots of paper towels, were our favlrite things to do.
when my 'baby' was that age i put her hand on a stamp pad, and let her decorate our outgoing Christmas cards.
People thought i was weird then, but everytime we go through her 'memory box' she laughs, and says "my hand was that small?"

it's those little things that they will not remember now, but will appreciate when they are mommies themselves.

i hope you get lots of good ideas here.
