Get a lawyer ASAP.

States regularly supervise each other offenders. Whether they are on probation, parole, or even in prison. But the 2 states have to agree to switch.

For example, say someone lived in NY and was driving to Florida when they stopped off in Virginia and committed a crime. If they have family in NY, Virgina may sentence the offender but make an arrangement with NY for them to house the offender.

If he is on probation in California and now living in another state and they will not expidite him they will probably work something out with him through the state he is now living in. He must not be on probation for something real serious or they would of had the cops arrest him and they would have came after him

He can get an attorney to attempt to work out a deal with the department that has the warrant for him.

Most likely he will have to go into detention pending a hearing and they may or may not make him go to jail.
He needs an attorney, everytime he gets stoped, he will be held pending
