This guy and me have been seeing each other for almost two months now. It has been great so far, he's a sweet guy, no joke. About two weeks ago we were walking down the hallways together. I had my head on his shoulder, walking slowly, and he had his hand around me. I was talking to him as we walked to class. As I was talking to him he leaned down and whispered " Oh I love you-(my name). I stop talking...i was thinking " did he just say what i thought he did?"( It was quite fora moment) Then i stared talking again, faster. I never had someone outside my family say that to me. And i was confused on why he just said it. I did like it but i didnt know what to do. Later when i asked him about it, he said he was jus kidding cuz i was letting him his coat in my locker. But the way he said it i really dont think he was. Was he waiting for me to say it back? And was he disapointed that i later asked about it? After that i went to my class and things were the same. In fact we are still close.

hunny, guys dont like to talk about their feelings much, so the fact he said anything at all is a big thing. and the truth is, guys say those sort of things for one of two reason... either they want sex and think that is the only way you will agree to it, but i really dont think that is the case here... or they really mean it. guys really dont like rejection, no one does, but for some reason guys are just more sensitive to it. and he probably just felt hurt and rejectd when you didnt even say anything about it at first. he probably felt like you ignored it because you didnt care. and when you confronted him later about it, he probably felt a little put on the spot and didnt want to get rejected twice so he brushed it off as a joke. guys really dont know how to deal with feelings as well as girls and they sure dont know how to express them as easily. what you need to do is just sit down and figure out how you feel about this guy. do you love him? or are you actually in love with this guy? or is he just a temporary fling? once you figure that out all there is left to do is tell him. sit him down and make sure you have his full attention and explain to him how you were caught off guard and didnt know how to react to it. then either tell him you arent ready to be in love yet, or that you are in love with him(but that depends on how you actually feel about this guy). from there it can only get better... because honestly is the best policy.

Only say it back if you are sure you do love him too. maybe talk to someone you're very close with like your mom or someone else in the family. just don't say it back cuz he said it. only say it if you mean it. the way he did it (saying it in your ear) was a cute way of saying it i think lol i wish some guy would have done that to say i luv you to me lol you lucky! lol. well he sounds sweet. don't let this little incident stop you from going on in this relationship normal as i see you didn't. just remember only say it if you think you mean it. You probably just got creeped out a bit because you have never been in such a situation. He most likely had sort of expections from you, and when you did not respond it creeped him out too. You should tell him that you do care about him, but you are not sure if you are in love with him quite yet, and talk to him about it.

Definitely don't tell him you love him unless you mean it. And yea if you think he meant it, he probably did. He is just feeling a little rejected. Even explain it to him. That you are waiting until you know for sure. I know that was the best decision I made. My bf was dissapointed when I wouldn't say "I love you" back to him. But when I finally did he knew it meant a lot.

one of two things happened
one, he was serious, and because you didnt say it back he's pretending it was all fine and that he was kidding because he doesnt wanna seem too forward.
or two, he was kidding.
what i'd do, go somewhere romantic, out or something, then just hug and stuff, and if you think you feel that strongly about him, say it. If he replies, it'll be great, hearts and roses for all.
but if he was kidding i'd feel him out first, see if he says it again, if he does, say it back if you mean it and if he doesnt, wait for a while longer.
Make sure if you say it, you mean it, because if he means it, you'll break his heart.

Thats really sweet. Don't make a big deal about it. He might be embarrassed if you keep on it. Just enjoy him - it was a sweet gesture. Oh to be young and in love again......

yeah he deff wanted yeww to sayy it back and when yeww didnt he wanted to take it back, cuz he felt like a fool for loving someone that doesnt love back, so ta cover it upp he said, "ohh ii was jus kidding" now the Q is do yeww love himm?

when ur truley in love u will know it and youll find it easy to say it, for example i thought i was in love once with an ex but i could never say it. now im dating a wonderful guy and im able to say it. and he says it back. when it happens youll know how to respond.
