I wouldn't recommend any sports car at all since they're expensive to maintain and college students tend to be broke.

However, if you're really set on getting one, get one that is the most fuel efficient. Gas cost money, which is something you'll probably lack when you're in college. Also make sure that it's reliable.

Personally, I think I like the Mazda sports car...but I don't know much about cars so....

Different cars for different styles. College means friends so if you like to drive then you'll need more than 2 seats. Since its snowy part of the season you'll need FWD, AWD or 4WD. Since you are 600 miles from home and 600 miles back to school you'll need something reliable. You mention a sports car so SUVs an trucks are out. The only cars that are decent IMHO are the AWD Audis (A4, S4)and the AWD Subarus (WRX, 2.5GT). I believe there is a Lexus 250 with AWD. If you go FWD theres Acura TL. Not sure whats in the American car stable. The Miata is cool for college town but its a two seater and RWD so you be slipping around town in the snow. Hope this helps. Good luck at college.
