I have a younger sister who is 15yrs. Lately she has been getting on websites like myspace and different chatrooms and talking to people. She gives out her phone number and talks to these people without even knowing who they are. She has recently been caught getting phone calls from a 20 year old that she met on one of these websites. I tried explaining to her that a 20 year old should not want to 'chat' with a 15 year old but she doesn't understand the dangers.

You need to go to the police. There are special crime departments just for internet crimes. You won't forgive yourself if you walk away from this and the next 20 year old she talks to ends up talking her into meeting him and he does something horrible to her.

I had the same problem with my younger sister who is also 15. She learned her lesson when a creep found out her address and then was saying he was going to come over the next day while her mom was at work. I had to drive to her house to pick her up because she was so afraid that this 22 year old guy would just show up on her doorstep. She learned her lesson, trust me. She ignores anyone over 18 at this point.

You just have to be really really careful especially if she is talking to these guys that she never met before. Maybe try explaining to her that sometimes these guys don't even say their real age so she might to be talking to someone who is 20 in reality!! I guess it is wrong to say but she might realise and learn when something happens or when it is too late!! Trying to explain to a 15 year old is so difficult and I guess it is the only way for them to realise is when it actually happens!!
