It seems like it's getting very popular for girls/women to shave down there. I was wondering, I'm fairly young and uncomfertable with the idea of doing it, so, will it look weird wearing a bikini if I don't shave down there? I did once before and it was kinda itchy. Is it a total turnoff to be able to see the outline or whatever of hair down there?(not legs)
Thanks!!!

P.S.-I'm 13:(

no, being 13 you shouldn't worry about that yet. make sure nothing is poking out from your bikini but other then that you should be good.

1st off if you are uncomfortable, don't do it. 2nd, if you do decide to shave, you can just do the edges so hair doesn't stick out of your swim suit. If it itches, make sure you are using shave cream and maybe switch to an electric razor, they also make hair removal cream and wax that you can use in that area and depending where you live, you can go to a salon and have it done. 13 is really young to be worried about that. Have you talked to your mom? Despite what you may hear, I am sure there are LOTS of women that don't shave! That is a personal preference for each individual.

if you dont feel comfortable shaving down there, dont do it. it is a personal choice that every woman must make for herself. if you are worried about wearing a bikini just try trimming the area that may hang out the sides. you may change you mind when you get a little bit older about shaving your pubic hair. i remove all my pubic hair but i wax it. it takes a while to grow back and there is no nasty itching when it does. it is very painful so if you give it a try be prepared

Anybody looking that close needs a life, sweetheart. You're fine without shaving.

You should keep it trimmed down there, but there's no need to shave. You're right, it's itchy and it's a lot of work, and really, there's no need to do it until you're ready for someone else to be looking there!

Go ask your mom young one. while there are some ladies in here that will steer you right.. there are some animals in here as well. and they dont need any ideas. your best bet is ask mom, big sis, even a health teacher (female)

ok why are we telling a 13 year old about birth control when she didnt even ask?????

do what you are comfortable with, but if you accidently cut; let me just tell you, it will hurt tremendously so be extremely careful &&; use shaving cream. However, it IS healthier to not shave bc more bacteria is able to enter when it's shaved clean. Basically, it just depends on what you're most comfortable with.

I think shaving "there" is a very popular thing to do at this time. It is cleaner, and you don't have the bikini worry.
