I am not really great when it comes to pain either so before I go for waxing I always take some painkiller with 30 minutes before the appointment. It helps a great deal from my point of view.

The best of luck with your first waxing session!

I have a VERY low threshold to pain. And the first time I got my legs waxed, I thought it was a little painful. Some stinging and split second pain, but thats about it. However, the more you get it done, the less it will hurt.

Well I will be honest with you, it does hurt at first. Think about ripping off a band-aid, but the pain doesn't last, it only hurts for a few seconds. Now I've had laser hair removal & THAT HURTS! But the results are worth it. Just make sure to let the aesthetician know about your low pain threshold so that she can be considerate & pause when you need her to or apply light pressure to the area she just did. Most important NEVER get waxed when you are premenstrual or on your period, the pain will be a lot worse. You'll survive waxing though, once you get used to it, you'll just lay there barely feeling anything. Good Luck :)

It WILL hurt, but it isn't as bad as most people I know make it seem. Although since you say you have a low pain threshold, you might feel like it is; the friend idea's great, it always helps. Since you seem to be getting it professionally done, the pain will be minimal; it isn't lasting pain anyway =) Although it stings a bit, you'll be happy when you don't have to shave until 2(ish) weeks! You can do this, and trust me, you'll be happy with the results!

It will be a little painful , however I found taking a couple of advil before waxing takes the edge off . You know , being beautiful does involve suffering through a few pains - all done in the name of looking good!

It will sting/tingle quite a bit. I would suggest getting you're eye brows waxed first, and then imagine that feeling all over you're legs.

I am not going to lie... it hurts. after a few pulls on each leg they will be numb so it wont hurt as bad. just think it lasts for 2 weeks before the hair starts growing back... 2 weeks longer than shaving.also the hairs grow back fine, no wiry dark hair. good luck!

I get my legs waxed and it does not bother me as much as people say it does. There are less nerves on your legs than, say, your face or your hands so there are less pain receptacles. You should at least try it once. I prefer it to shaving.
