i got her a basked of 3 mrs. fields premade mixes. one is a bag of pancake mix, one is blueberry pancake mix, and one is muffin mix. do you guys think this present is ok? it's all in a nice basket wrapped in celephane.

Box up a pair of ceramic or fake pointe shoes and give them to her. She'll get the idea. Then make the trip to get them fitted a big deal. Get dressed up and make it feel really important. She'll love the memory as well as the gift. Do not buy her a pair without a professional fitting. Many young dancers have had dance careers smashed and years of foot problems because of an improper fitting. She is going to be putting all of her body weight on the small circular pointe of the shoe. It must fit her and give in the right places. Make a memory, it'll last longer than the shoes.

Unless she is a celiac then it is a wonderful present. If she is a celiac then she won't be able to eat it (unless the mixes are gluten-free).
