PS do not say you are ready to fight for your country cause 73% citizens of your country are against this war so if you have to go you will fight for a political game nothing else and maybe you will die for that.. good lucky!!!

There will be no draft. No draft is needed. Most Army National Combat brigades are sitting at the house and could be used if the USA ever got serious about the conflict in Iraq. The US will not invade Iran, I'm sorry but it isn't going to happen.

If the US were to invoke a draft it would take years just to prepare training locations for such a mass effort. In case you haven't noticed, many bases have been closed over the past ten years. The remaining bases are largely busting at the seams. Even National Guard camps are being used to train troops for rotations to Iraq and they don't have the space for a bunch of new recruits.

I know a bunch of people on the left want a draft so they can burn draft cards and try and live the hippie days from their parents/grand parents but it isn't going to happen.

Admitably due to my own errors in judgement (amazing what 2 years under the care of the LVMPD will do) I can't serve, though if the draft allowed me to I'd be the first to sign up. As an American I believe those who fought and died for the rights and liberties I enjoy every day deserve nothing short of the utmost respect and dignity we can give them. Those brave souls who serve and served this country took the chance that they might not return to see it's glory. Sadly, many haven't. If those men and women can fight for freedoms day in and day out, not knowing if they'll return or die on some God-forsaken piece of foreign soil then the least I do is answer when my country calls too. The very least I can do is help them if my country lets me.

ROFLMAO. What a silly question. First off there will be no draft. Second, for you to demean and insult the military is not very cool. Why don't you go over to Iraq and see what is going on or are you just too lazy to get out of your "cushy" house and actually do something productive for this country. Get off the backs of people who actually work.

Look up Congressman Charles Rangel, about two years he had a plan the reinstate the draft, then ended up voting againist his own bill. All you can argue is perceived fairness. I hate to be you but if the audience is young and naive, it might actually work.

I'm already in Iraq. Your punk *** needs to quit worrying about a draft and sign up to see what its all about. Maybe you will sing a different tune when you watch your best friend die. I haven't siezed any oilfields so you can shove that comment up your kiester too.

Those young men out there are serving their country, but they fight for eachother, cause when the $hit goes down, all they wanna do is get as much of their friends back home with them.

I alreaqdy served ten years of active duty and three years of reserve duty, but HELL YES I WOULD Go!!!
If my country needs me, and asks me to go I would do it in a heartbeat. My duffle bag is already packed.
I take it from your war for oil comment that you would run to Canada!!! Well, better get a passport first, cause very shortly, you will need one to get into Canada, and you sure as hell will need one to get back home. Good luck MISSY!!!!!!!!

If I can fight for my country I would.

I believe it would be a great honor to do so. I would also want to get the people that have one goal in life; to kill Americans.

No one is seriously calling for reinstating the draft. Senator Rangle as called for a discussion, but it is unlikely that even he will vote to have it.
