When you have the job and income to support yourself and live independently is the time you should be moving out on your own.
Legally -- in some states it can be either 17 or 18 .. and if you are disrespectful to your PARENT's Home -- then you should be getting that job and moving out.

I guess that would depend on the situation. I had a friend that lived on his own from the age of 15, but that is very rare. Don't be wanting to rush out! There are bills and jobs and school and you have to be able to take care of yourself and if you are in school, you have to be motivated enough to stick with it. It isn't as much fun being an adult as you think. If you are wanting to leave b/c the situation at home is bad, talk to a trusted adult or a school counselor or someone first. Don't make a rash decision.

18 or higher I assume. Anything less would be child neglect.

18 in most states...17 in some.
Any younger will only be allowed if you are legally emancipated.
