food is like a drug, if you dont mix it right you will always be hungry, that is why you can be hungry an hour after a thanksgiving meal. in a drug the chemicals etc. have to be mixed in exact porportions to make it work just right, If you are eating the appropriate amount of each kind of foods like a certain amount of carbs, fat, and protein together you will not get hungry, you will not want excess food and you will think clearer. Also it is important that you eat every four to six hours, not alot, just enough. Becuase just like a drug if you dont have the right amount of everything in your system at all times, so if you dont keep dosing yourself it wont work continuously

I'm going through the same thing. I have a ferocious appetite and need to keep it under control. I've found that if you don't think of it as a diet, you'll stick to eating better and less.

Think of it as the way you eat now - you aren't someone who eats food just because it's there. Gaining that control is very liberating.

If that doesn't help, think of a body part that has fallen victim to your eating habits - your stomach, thighs, butt - right before you eat something. Let it disgust you to where the thought of food makes you feel like crap.

Many patients ask me how they can slim down. I recommend that people eat right and exercise. However, if they would like a little "help", I suggest using natural Hoodia (it's important to note that not all Hoodia works well, even if the bottle says "pure" or "standard").

The Hoodia sold at http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php is in my opinion the best Hoodia on the market. It's pure, has no side effects, and they give you a free 15 day sample (there is a $7.99 shipping and handling charge, but they also give you free recipe and diet guides). My patients have seen fantastic results with this particular Hoodia.

Get the food away form you!! lol People can usually control themselves when there is no junk food in their house- like you said, "when I see food". this happens to me, just buy lots of fruit and set it out, and other healthy snacks. Put food into portions or buy it that way, like 100-calorie snacks which actually come in alot of varieties. The one thing with these snacks that is hard though is eating only one... you can try it but be careful , you can do it! before you eat any snack, drink a glass of water to make yourself a little full even before eating. You should be drinking alot of water anyway throughout the day.

the biggest problem with diets is simply the word diet and what it connotes- depriving yourself of things you want and it generally being a miserable time and a hassle. Diets usually last for a relatively short amount of time, you'll lose some weight but as soon as you come off it you put some back on. No one can stay on a diet forever, nor should they. To lose weight and to make a change which is going to last for a long time is to take a look at your whole lifestyle- food, drink, exercise etc- and see how you can change it for a lasting effect. Most people go on crash diets to look better while forgetting completely about their health and long-term effects which is what matters. Quite simply, the best and most healthy way to slim down is to exercise, both cardio and weights, while eating balanced diets and drinking enough water. You can always tell between someone who is on a diet and someone who is taking care of themselves because the latter look so much more healthy; they have healthy skin and hair and you'll feel better in yourself if you treat your body well.

Well where's the will power?? You have to have some or else you really don't want to succeed. If you were snacking raw vegetables and fruit you wouldn't be so hungry.

your diet shouldn't be about NOT eating food, but try to reduce, or completely cut away temptations such as cake or french fries or whatever.
