How do you go about filing taxes for two jobs? Over the summer I picked up a 2nd job and worked there for a few weeks. Now, do I have combine those earnings with my regular job, or do I file them separately?

Simply add the numbers from each w2 together and put in the proper box on the forms.

You file one tax return with two jobs listed. If you are doing it yourself, you place each companies information in seperately. If you are using Turbo Tax or a similar software, once you complete the information for one job, it will ask if you had any more. If you go to H&R Block, or a similar place, they will do it for you, but charge you a little more since they will be entering the info for two places.

You just add up the boxes. When it asks for wages...you add up the wages from each W2 that you have. You do not file separately on each.

You add all the totals up from the two jobs--ie: total of combined wages, total of federal taxes withheld, total of state taxes withheld.

I worked two jobs for years and I just added them together. That is all you have to do.

You add up your income as one and fill in the line.
