My daughter is 13 and weighs 83 pounds what I wouldn't give for her to weigh what your child does but because of a progressive terminal illness she never will. Does it matter if she is "fat" what matters is that she is healthy besides kids at that age often start to lose the "baby fat". What I call fat is my 6 yr old stepdaughter that is 78 pounds because her mother feeds her nothing but fast foods, junk foods, and fried foods. Be grateful she's healthy that is all that should matter.5'3 and 113 pounds is not fat at all!

Not really. She is a tall girl as well, take that into account. My sister is 10, 5'5" 130lbs (Now thats a tall kid), sure she does have some fat, but shes mostly muscle from hockey and soccer.

She's the best arm wrestler in her grade as well. But its just from the early growth in our family, I'm 14 and 6', but I haven't grown much since 13.

It depends if your daughter has muscle mas as well, that's the moral of the story.

No. I am 5'2 and weigh 120 and wear a size 6 and I am not fat. She is a young girl who will go through growth spurts, bodily changes, etc. As long as she is healthy I wouldn't worry about it. Please don't give her a complex about her weight. It can do serious damage to her self esteem or lead to eating disorders. She is just fine.

Being overweight is determined by the body mass index.

According to your figures your daughter is in great shape. In fact she is perfect!.. She's in the 18th percentile (83% of the population is fatter than her.)

I think I would ask her doctor. If she is overweight then the doctor can tell you the best way to help her. I don't think she is overweight.
