What are the requirements for becoming a U.S. Army Infantry Scout?

i am sorry but i wasnt able to find information of an Infantry Scout in the United States Army, but i did happen to come across information on a Cavalry Scout, perhaps this is what you had meant?

if that is the case, the require for becoming a Cavalry Scout are:

1) requires Basic Training -where you learn basic Soldiering skills, and Advanced Individual Training, and 16 weeks of One Station Unit Training (OSUT)
2) required to constantly lift heavy objects and endure many stressful situations in combat; being in top physical and mental shape for this job is crucial
3) required to constantly work to keep skills sharp and be in a constant state of readiness.

In order to become a member of a scout platoon for an infantry battalion, you must be an 11B. If you already have a Ranger tab and/or sniper school you have a really good chance of being selected. Otherwise you just need to show you are squared away and a better infantryman than your peers. If you can manage that, you could be selected. You can also ask for it from your team or squad leader, but it still comes down to the Scout Platoon selecting you personally.

Once in the platoon,you also have a better chance of getting Ranger and Sniper school if you dont already.

geronimo is right, you may also want to score high on your PT Test. Scout platoons are very selective and accept only the best, so stand out and get "tabbed".
