Probably a little, but not enough to stress over. Just get her to lessen her intake of junk foods and soda, and to excercize more, and she should be fine.

It would depend on her height, but is she is average height, then she is overweight.

As her mother, you need to make sure she eats healthy foods. It could also be a medical problem (hypothyroid)

Make sure she gets plenty of exercise, even if you need to walk with her or something, that could be your mom and me time.

Whatever you do, do NOT let anyone make fun of her, or tell her she is overweight. She could end up with an eating disorder if she thinks she isn't "good enough" for other peoples standards.

I personally would rather my daughter be a LITTLE overweight, than look like Nicole Richie or Keira Knightley

I think you are trying to find someone to say YES she is fat she is 5'3 and 113 pounds,83% of the population is "fatter" then she is. Maybe your the one with identity issues and you just want to reflect them onto your child so that she grows up to be an anorexic girl living off of one cracker a day afraid of how others view her

I agree with Nan G. It depends on how tall she is. My 11 year old daughter is 5'6" tall and weighs 122 and is not fat at all. Kids seem to be getting bigger all the time. Her twin brother is 5'8" and weighs in at 160.

Well you don't mention how tall she is....I think you know if she is overweight...after all she is your daughter and you do live with her. Look at her, make a determination. Maybe you need to make healthy choices for your family. Good luck.

Actually, unless she is under 4'10" she isn't considered overweight. She may have more fat on her than others and should exercise more but isn't considerd overweight. If she is 4'10" 119lbs is the overwight line.

Sorry to say, but yeah, if she's not that tall. I'm a skinny guy and weigh 141, she isn't that far behind.
