You can take them from their mother at 6 weeks but 6-8 weeks is when the mother teaches the pups how to get along, so if you can keep them together until 8 weeks they'll socialize a lot better as adults.

No sooner than 8 weeks!!

The puppies learn important skills in self-control and socialization between around 5 weeks (when they are weaned) and 8 weeks. Separating the pups during this period can have horrible effects on the future of the puppies. Puppies can either become overly shy or aggressive if they don't have this period to learn from mom and each other.

they should be taken from mom at 6 weeks. the longer you keep them on her the longer she will produce milk. i breed golden retrievers and i wean at 6 weeks. but when they reach 8 weeks you can sell them. don't sell them any earlier then 8 weeks because if you sell that early sometimes they can get sick and then you will have the new owners calling you for either a refund or a dog exchange. make sure when the pups are 5 weeks they get their 1st shots and then at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks, and the last is at 20 weeks with the rabies. good luck

Usually they are weaned from the Mother around weeks 5-6 so that they can be fed puppy food so that they can adjust in time to be shared with their new pet companion owners by weeks 8-10.

As with any breed, puppies should stay with their mother for at least 8 weeks. Start weaning them at 5 weeks but allow them to nurse until the mother gets irritated by their teeth. The longer they stay with the mother, the more immunity they will develop.

I think it is 6 weeks. You probably should call a vet. There is no charge for you to call and just ask for information. Puppies should not be taken from their mother too early as they need the mothers milk. However, once they get little teeth you need to give them dog food because the nipples on the mother can get infected which is a real problem and painful for the mom..

Most puppies or kittens shouldn't be separated from their mums before six to eight weeks and eight being better.
