Depending on the breed, you may not need a heating pad. English Bulldogs always need a heating pad, but those you don't leave with the mother. Unless it is a special breed, or the mother won't take care of them, you shouldn't need one. Do make sure the mother has somewhere warm and draft free, away from other animals, and they should be just fine! Good luck!

forget the heating pads. give the mother a warm dry place and she will keep the babies warm. they have been doing so for ages.
