I just broke-up with my boy friend, as soon as I broke-up with him he said that he'd been wanting to break-upi with me for weeks but couldn't find the right time. Just a few days before though he was telling me how much he loved me and saying that he hoped that we'd stay together forever, why would he say that and then just turn around and say the opposite. Do guys always do stuff like that, to try to preserve a little bit of pride?

One of the problems is that he's telling everyone that he was the one who wanted to break-up with me.

I think everyone does it.
I think people want to love someone like that. And as painful as it sounds - He loves you - but you aren't the "one"
It hurts and you should be mad.
Remember - there are always more guys... and they really all say the same stuff... and depending on how much you like them - that will depend on how much you value what they say.
PLUS
WHO CARES WHAT HE SAYS - ya'll are broken up now...

How about - Why does all of us lie? Why will each and every man or woman on the planet tell a lie? Human Nature. protecting instincts. we opt for to impression others, be envied, be the dominant, experience sturdy and experience significant. in certain circumstances your own lifestyles accomplishments do not fairly degree as a lot as what you experience is astonishing. i'm a lady and honestly, i believe the lads who do lie (and not in any respect all do- no longer about vast issues besides) is because they opt for to impression! Now in the adventure that your boy is mendacity about seeing different women and getting round properly he's a sleeze and there isn't any aspect wondering the lies, your more beneficial off backhanding the son of a *****. yet when he's mendacity to communicate himself up somewhat then take a step decrease back and picture about all the white lies an exaggerations you've made on the topic of who you're. you're shocked, and perchance the question may be reversed to why do you lie?

It is not uncommon for anyone to want to save face or retain pride to some extent. The ones who do this are not always being honest with themselves or with the person involved. Not all guys do this and I am sure not all girls do this either. But we all have egos we must feed if we are at all self centered more than selfless in nature. Honesty is always the best policy whether people believe it or not. I like people who are honest and sincere not those who put on airs for any reason whatsoever.

the guy I dated before my husband claimed that the only reason that we should break up was if one of us found someone else. He had a fictitious girlfriend, and he broke into my email and found emails from my future husband. I stopped emailing my husband for a while and was able to turn things around on his fantasy girl to lose this loser.

Guys don't "always" do anything and neither to women...some people simply handle rejection this way...they reject you back to take the sting off of how they feel...

It's just one way some people (men and women) deal with negative situations...it's not super common, but it does happen...
