While I can share in the pervasive sentiment, I must humbly express an alternate viewpoint. I think of it as protecting the borders of the world's second largest oil concentration, and I see that as indirectly protecting our own borders.

Screw Iraq and its oil. Leave them alone and we are left alone. Our arrogance got us bombed. Everyone hates our hipocritical ways. Use the money from the war to fund alternative vehicle programs so we can get rid of the gas and pollution.
We can't even stop us gang violence, its just not on the news anymore.

I hate to say it but I think we should put up a Berlin wall with guard towers and snipers the difference being we let our people back out and the snipers should use rhino tranquilizers

This would be a much nicer planet if there were no borders

You got that right. I think we (USA) need to assess and fix our own problems before trying to fix someone else's. Problems such as a loose border, gang violence, etc.

Agree, but its almost to little to late now. Govenment officials willing to do something about it are fighting against the politcally correct who are afraid to offend someone. I say offend away...keeping us safe should be the priority.
