I want to leave my life behind...what do I do?
I'm 16 and I'm at the end of my rope. I try hard, but do poorly in all of my classes. I don't have money for college, nor do I know where I want to go yet. I can't drive and I don't have the time to learn, thanks to school. As if this wasn't enough, I spend all my time helping my friends with problems even worse than mine despite the fact none of them will help me back. My girlfriend is the only one who really gives a damn about me...and it's a distance relationship.
I'm so close to just running away or even, dare I say it, suicide. I don't know what to do. Nothing ever changes and I'm sick of it.
Please Help.

My friend you need help. Suicide is definitely not the answer. I suggest you finish school. And since you don't have the funds to consider further education. Then I suggest the military. It is not all being a soldier. There are thousands of other jobs you can apply for. Talk to a recruiter today, they will show you what is available. Plus you can go to college while in the military, plus after you decide to get out, they will pay for all or part of your college. I would consider the Coast Guard, Army, Navy, and Air Force. The Marines are great, but they get a little brain washed in their initial training. And remember, it will change your life, and you get paid for it too...

You sound like you are really overwhelmed at the moment.
You need to be a bit more selfish with your friends.
Lots of kids your age have jobs and do well at school.
Get a job that will give you time to meet other people, earn money and give you work experience.
That will get you out of a rut.
I suggest you speak to the school counselor or social worker about your feelings.
It's all a place to start.
I hope you are feeling better soon.

PLEASE....PLEASE don't take your life. I remember being 16 and everything seems so horrible and that nothing can go right. But trust me on this, things will work out. Its not the end of the world. Don't make a permanent solution to a temporary problem, that's just not smart. Think of the people who love you and how your selfishness would affect them. Get tutoring help, talk to a teacher, see a counsler, seek help, please. Your life has meaning, even if it doesn't seem like it now.

Take a deep breath, relax! Things can only get better (and will)! If nothing else, look at it this way: You'll have plenty of time to be dead! Life is short enough, don't make it shorter!

buck up, you're 16 life hasn't even begun yet. Things could be much worse. Being a teenager is tough but you will get thru it, i promise. start worrying about yourself more and your friends less. you choose your own destiny. good luck. Smile.

You think your outer circumstances matter, but it all depends on the inner quality of life.
Are you working to know the deeper questions... like... who you are?
I guarantee most people don't know who they are.
BESIDES... letting everything be as it is. Work on just that.
