Mine gave me a £2 scratch card inside my Christmas card. I am a carer in an EMI home.

My boss isn't a scrooge! He's quite festive and all but he gave us a box of celebrations (you know the kind with like 5 choccys in) for our department, there is only 3 of us, but common this guy earns 60k+!!!!
My dad on the other hand turns into the most miserably old moaning man you will ever meet!!! He says its a waste of money, yet not matter how much we tell him its not about the presents its about us all being together (i live 4 hours away) he still buys loads of pressies, but moans all day about the fact. men!

That's what I got, too. A $1 scratch card. Mmm hmm. And only one of those ever paid me anything. I got $5 out of that.
Scrooge in many ways. I worked alone because he didn't want to hire another person. I worked with equipment that was always touchy, often broke. He didn't want to buy new. Some vacation requests were turned down because there wasn't anyone to work them....... Sooo glad I'm retired!

When I used to work for someone else I had a really good boss who would let me have weeks off when I wanted, give me payed holidays and generally treat me well.
Now I work for myself and my boss is a real tyrant!

No, i work in the city, my boss offered me to go xmas shopping in work time and asked if i needed any days off around xmas without any holiday pay owing. Who needs a gift when you can get time off work! :)

MY bosses own three hotels. Last year they took money out of the staff tip account to pay for the managers leaving present and for them to stay for a weekend in one of their own hotels, and we weren't even asked,nor did we even know the manager.

My boss is a big a*swipe. He is mean, uncaring, and naracisstic.
I would not take anything from him by principal alone....
