Is it ok to do it on or before the first date? Or does the guy lose interest and respect because there is no mystery and no chasing left to do? Will the guy think she is easy, or will he be interested in maybe pursuing a relationship (and not just for sex, either)?

sex is and will always be a part of any relationship and it does not matter to me if we have sex before after during dating --- its getting to know the person that is important ---- if we stop seeing each other its not because we have had sex but because the spark was missing
the more sex you have with the same person the better it gets so you want to do it more than once

Having been there done that already, I don't see it as a problem. The only issue that might arise is if he thinks if you're that easy for him, how many other guys have you been with that early? But for the most part, if neither of you have a problem with it, I say go for it

It is not doing the deed but the girl herself that makes me lose interest. If she's worth hanging around for I will, but whether or not we've had "relations" doesn't affect whether or not I call her again. I generally find the nicer girls don't "put out" on the first date.

many guys will have their own agenda. most guys would sleep with a girl on the first date. That relationship usually don't last that long for some reason.
Guys who really respect girls won't sleep with them on the first day.
