You will defiantly get carded nearly everyone does but as someone else mentioned its better if it is a English fake as they dont know the difference between that and a real one. Its hit or miss if you get a arsey doorman but I would always blag that the Embassy states you shouldn't risk taking your passport out at night if they ask for your passport. It always helps if there is a group of you if you all have the same one then it is assumed that that is the real thing. I think 9/10 times you get away with it if you dress OK and milk the accent.
If your 20 also remember they do dates month, day, year, helped my mate out big time once as he was 20 but that added a few months on so made him 21.
You will definatly find somewhere
Enjoy New York

Some places, mostly bars, don't even check IDs on the weekdays. They may ask you if you look young but a lot of times you can walk right in. On Friday and Saturday nights, most places are very strict about checking IDs because they know the city is filled with young people from out of town on those nights. They can usually spot all fake IDs and are especially suspicious of college IDs and anything that looks strange or foreign. They sometimes ask to see a passport rather than a foreign ID card. I've been told my out of state ID was fake before when it was REAL and I was 23! Most likely you will eventually find one place that you can get into but it may take all night.

I think it would be a lot easier with bars, not clubs. Either way, you're more likely to get carded at high-traffic, "must-attend" places.
I could recommend some bars, but I'm not much of a clubgoer, so if I were you I'd find a bar you can get into, and then ask the locals which clubs they'd recommend for the underage reveler. Cuz there's plenty of those :)
If the fake ID is from the UK, then I think it'd have a good chance of working. If it's a fake US driver's license, then try not to talk so that your accent doesn't tip off the bouncer!

If its a fake ID from the UK it will probably work. You'll get carded pretty much everywhere in NYC now. However, most of the time it's only perfunctionary - the doormen just do it so the clubs can cover their backs. However, in the more upscale places, the bars/clubs have electronic scanners which can verify if a US ID is genuine or not. They will not scan a UK ID, so you'll probably be okay. If not, then just move on and try again at another club.

From Central Park on down seriously to Lady Liberty are simply a number of the important what to see in New York City and the remainder of these you'll find when you arrive here with the help of this page Hotelbye . No one can head to New York without walking, at least one time through Central Park. Central Park is a very large park with lots of exciting places like: the tranquil Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, the Sheep Meadow during summer time or the lines from Lewis Carroll's poem “Jabberwocky” engraved along the foot of the Alice in Wonderland statue

Honestly, it depends on how young you look. Clubs, probably not. If you go to bars, maybe. The city is very strict when it comes to carding. If you go to ethnic bars, then you might have a better chance of not getting carded.

With your british accent and a fake ID you should be able to look and act over 21 and get in to sum of the places.

Probably not-in America EVERYONE gets asked for ID when buying alcohol-I've seen people in their 40's being asked over there so they would prob spot a fake.
