I have an '05 Jeep Liberty and it has than 30,000 mi on it. Chrysler doesn't want to stand by their warranty (so be aware!) Has anyone else had any engine problems (specifically with the oil) that are similar?

Wow your problems are rare, Liberty when they first can out were great, No TSB's no recalls, just ran great. AS far as recalls go no body issues recall on a running problem just safety issues. All others are TSB's My question to you is. Did you buy the jeep used? What kind of mileage do you have? What year is it? What kind of driving do you do? And to be honest all the problems you are stating I have seen a lot of from owners that drive the cr** out of there cars, thinking they are in the Indy 500 or something from stop light to stop light. And as far as Chrysler doing nothing, they are doing nothing for you for some reason why?

Chrysler has no choice but to stand by their warranty. Its a federal enforced warranty.
Contact Chrysler or your local consumer protection agency.
If you live in a lemon law state you have even more options.
Look up your sate ie. (Massachusetts lemon law)

I just saw something on the news a little while back (month or two) about a recall on those things...I would double check that, especially if you are having problems. They usually notify (by mail) owner's if there is a vehicle recall and why and they repair with no cost to you....
