I'm a saved sinner and I'm just wondering why some unsaved sinners think Christmas is offensive because we aren't shoving our beliefs down your throats just because Christmas has the word "Christ" in it doesn't mean that we are trying to put our beliefs on you. Christmas was what it was named in the beginning so we didn't come up with that name. State your answer. I'm open minded.

Well I think some Christians DO shove their beliefs down others throats. I'm Christian, but I think the way to spread the good word of Jesus Christ is leading by example. If you lead a good Christian life, other non-christians will see this and wonder what is different/special about your life, and then you will have the opportunity to spread the word about your faith. However, some Christians feel the need to tell everyone who does not believe that they are "horrible people condemned to hell" and they refuse to talk to them or do horrible things to them, and their actions turn to be not christian at all. These same hypocritical Christians are the ones who are "Merry Christmas, you better believe in Christmas because if you don't well then you are an idiot and I hate you and you are condemned" blah blah blah, which I think is completely inappropriate and not Christ-like at all. So basically, you are Christian, a "saved sinner" as you say, so just continue to wish people a Merry Christmas and show you are Christian through your behaviors and actions.

I may or may not be saved. Perhaps I was born in a permanent way and did not require being reborn.

But I like Christmas. I don't think Christmas is offensive in any way.

I do have a serious problem with those tweeting bird Xmas tree ornaments, but I have decided that neither Christians nor Jesus had anything to do with them.

I am all for everyone putting up any sort of religious decoration that they please.

My own personal favorite religious symbol is a squeak Buddha chatting on his cellphone, and even more pleasant is that my Buddhist friends think he is a hoot.

The Sparking Nun is in second place, with the Buddy Christ a close third.

Christmas is a Christian holiday.

Most really find it offensive because Jesus was really born in the summer as far as historians can tell. Christmas came in to existence because Rome wanted to convert the Northern EU to Christianity by adopting Yule and or the Winter Solstice as the day Jesus was born. The concept of the Xmas tree has pagan root as to the wreath and mistletoe.

But the real problem come with the right wing who want every one to believe as they do and these other holiday dint exist. And they are the inventors of the decoration the tree put up wreaths and mistletoe.. To the point they would call for every one not to shop at stores because they chose to say season greetings . At this time of the year you have Yule, Winter Solstice, Honica (sp) and Kwanzaa not counting the other that have fallen to the way side. So friend Christmas isn't the only holiday as most Christians would like every one to believe,

Yule tidings to you and yours.

A person that has not committed his soul to his Lord Jesus Christ thinks in the abstract. When you give them a truth they see all the reason why it is not true. When you talk about good, you get bad and when we talk about joy you get sadness and pain.

The body is a vessel that was designed to enjoy God's gift not fight the gift. An unsaved person is like a storm with three Tornados coming in five different directions. Damage is imminent and everytime the soul is attacked it takes a piece away of the mind.

If you are not a Christian then your only association with Christmas is as a commercial greedfest. That is pretty sickening. However, it is the non-Christians celebrating Christmas that get sucked into the commercialism of it. So, the non-Christians celebrating Christmas suck up Christmas which makes the non-Christians who are not celebrating Christmas hostile.

they're in the dark. are you offended? keep in mind that these are the last days and the monumental attack on christians is to be expected. see luke 21:36. when asked by his disciples which was the most important commandment Jesus responded by saying to love God our father will our whole heart, body mind and soul and he went on to say that i'm going to add another, love your brother as yourself.
in Jesus name.

Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked.

Psalm 82:3-4

GOD BLESS

The only group of people I would imagine would be offended would be the Jews since they do not recognize Jesus as the Christ; therefore, the term would be blasphemy to them.

Which is why it is very surprising that most who are offended are atheist or agnostic.

I don't find it offensive. I was raised Catholic and now consider myself agnostic, but I still celebrate it as a tradition.

I don't think anyone should find it offensive, except when some people DO try to force it on them.
