If you notice at schools that are predominantly black the schooling is poorer, the teachers are terrible, the facilities are terrible, the available resources such as a descent library is also terrible in comparison to a school that is diverse and I wanted to know why is that?

I know this from experience I went to an all black high school and my education was not great at all. Yet it has been said that if I went to a school like whitney young a diverse college prep I would have had a better education.

Because the more you are exposed to something (whether it be race, environment, math, or art...) the more you learn about it.
Everyone has something to add to your state of learning. Race has nothing to do with your degree of learning, but culture, and learning of different cultures, definitely does.
Just like anything else, the more you are exposed to something, the more you learn about it, in all aspects.

I am not sure why schools with predominantly black students are poor in quality of education but I can answer to why the diversity of a school is good for everybody.
Most people generally solve a problem on situation by trying to compare the problem or situation to something in their past and then use this recognition to start solving the problem(a solution of the past or a varietal of it). Say if I were sitting with somebody from a poorer background than me and I see a problem with regards to crime, I might jump to the conclusion that giving harsher punishments would deter the criminal, because I might be looking into my past and thinking when I did not do something(maybe when the risk from the activity was too high). At the same time my classmate from an economically poorer background would say if there were better opportunity for the criminal maybe he would have chosen the path of maximum benefit for him and the society. This diversity in just backgrounds has provided each of the students with the value of an extra opinion(read education).
So having a diverse classroom with many different inputs can give us many choices to solve various challenges.
Hope this helps

It's not the color of skin or origin of mind (Japan, China, Mexico, France, Germany, Africa....), It is more the attention and depth of attention one pays in class such as notes, and then studing at home after school and actually doing ALL homework, rather than as I was: at 17, long hair, army trench coat, could not get along w/any teacher, and then FINALLY being EXPELLED from the Nothr Kansas Cith School District with only 2 9th grade credit hours (1 more and I would of made it to high school)... Had a choice from juvenil Probation Officer (told U I BAD BOY), either I'd be shipped to Boonville Boys Farm or had to Pay to go to Trade School, Father got custody of me, Took Auto Body, Paid Attention and when graduated was not 18 yet so I was not bondable to work at Body-Shop... THE LESSONS WE LEARN IN LIFE!!!
"Life is what you make of it so live to your fullest"
"I am Captain of MY Fate, Master of MY Soul'
"To the, To do, Be done"
Good luck in your life and may the LORD help you make the RIGHT choices

I went to a diverse high school. I wasn't always like that though. It started off being predominantly white, then it became more diverse. More Latino, Asians, and African American students went there. It was a great experience because diversity let you experience or understand different circles of life....I learned alot.

I have to disagree with you on that one. There are some excellent black schools in this country, as good or better than many non-ethnic-oriented schools. Students get complete and well-rounded educations there.
I'm assuming you're talking about colleges.
And like the guy below said, your comments could be seen as racist even if you didn't mean them that way.
