Indian people stated that no more white people would be allowed to move into the reserved lands of tribes. Article 6 of the Constitution says that these treaties are the "supreme law of the land." If we're not to be hypocrits, should we not start with those illegally living in tribal lands? Who among us who are not indigenous do not at some point come from illegal immigrants? Or are we only wanting to bash those undocumented immigrants who have brown skin?

To address some of the issues raised in response to this question. (1) No, we didn't come here legally. We violated the norms of indigenous people in illegaly entering there lands; then we violated the treaties we had signed (Article 6 "supreme laws") when we entered reserved lands. My point is we should all be a bit more humble and treat our brothers and sisters like human beings. And, that if we're going to call some "illegal" lets actually look at history and be honest about it.

As for the person saying that they don't care about 100 year old treaties, I have one question. The Constitution is older than all of treaties signed after the ratifying conventions. Are you saying we should scrap the Constitution because it is an old document? I hope that's not what you're saying.

About the person who says there were no borders here to be illegaly crossed, this just wasn't the case. Tribes knew their own boundaries and enforced them in a variety of ways. And, it was known by many colonialists that this was true. As early as 1834 "Indian Country" was recognized in U.S. law -- and U.S. citizens continued to illegally enter it. My question is, if you don't also address these realities, and continue to attack "illegal" Mexican immigrants, how is this not hypocrisy?

You know, how I love the Indian/"white" argument of how white people "took the land". Those were different times. This is the time of law and order now. You have to be a law abiding citizen. If you are an illegal immigrant then you are breaking the law, leaching off the system via schools and hospitals and are making traffic worse for me. You speak Spanish in AMERICA and don't even learn English. Ignorance is not needed. Go back to Mexico, we don't want you here.

Illegals are 2% of the population yet 35% to 40% of the prison population. 90% of the felony fugitive arrest warrants in california are for illegals. 95% of the murders in california are by illegals. Less than 3% of illegals work in any capacity outside a life of crime.

The illegal immigration issue is about crime, not immigration. There is a fundamental difference between legal immigrants and illegal immigrants.

Illegal immigrants are mostly violent criminals. If you think for one moment that what may or may not have happened in the past with indians (most of what you say is horribly distorted) means we should tolerate violent paramilitary drug gangs from mexico storming our borders, well, then your opinion doesn't matter much.

Why does every Illegal supporter reference native americans? Us decendents of "illegal immigrants" came from a line of people that migrated to this land and decided to form government. That government used military force to establish its right to be created and maintained. Now, if you are saying that those immigrants you reference are the same...then that is an act of war. Then we have every right to mobilize troops to fight these agressors. Is that what you want? Or would you like what the rest of us want, for the immigrants to request permission to enter the country and apply for citizenship?

If you want to take illegal immigration to the rediculous level then we should all move back to the spot in Africa where evolutionists say we began. When we moved here from Europe there were no recognized boarders to illegally cross.

I have American Indian blood on both sides of my family, and I'm against illegal immigration. Does that mean I hate people with brown skin, too?

I'll tell you crap I seen.

I know Mexicans down in Louisiana I play Soccer with. Even when they get work Visas to come into America and start working on citizenship they still get paid reaaaaaaal low wages. i have one friend who works at a prosperous Mexican owned restaurant and even his own race enslaves him. He works 12 hours a day Mon. - Fri. and he still only makes 60 bucks a week which is taxed by the government. The house he lives in is paid for by the employer but he has to live with 8 other people.

Visa or no Visa, these Mexican immigrants still have no constitutional rights. Even as legal working Mexicans, America can still ship them out at any time they want to. We all hear media and political perspectives. If you wanna know what legal Mexicans have to, and willingly go through to live in this country go ask a Mexican.

The government is actually setting up a test that they are going to offer Americans. They want to see if Americans were foreigners trying to get into this country if we will actually be able to do it. They think most common Americans will fail the test that it takes to become a citizen with constitutional rights.
