I once took alcohol and ended up using it for over a decade.
Resulted in severe depression, self doubt and social extracation.
Greatest thing in the world to be free of it :D
Have also reacted in a very paranoid and self destructive way to self administration of MDMA, amphetamines and various prescribed chemicals e.g. tamazapan etc

there are many side effects of medicines. the nasty ones i have seen are anaphalaxis, seizures, bradycardia (low heart rate), high blood pressure, rashes, sweating, swelling of jaw and limbs plus many more. one child was given vancomycin which is an antibiotic and developed red man syndrome which made his whole body turn red starting from his head. death would be the worst reaction but that tends to occur from the side effects not being treated quickly and effectively enough.

Im allergic to Trimethoprim, used to treat kidney / water infections. My allergy showed itself within a day with HUGE, open ulcers in my mouth and throat, blisters on my face, my tongue swelled and was generally pretty poorly. Went to A&E but dont remember how they sorted it (was a bit out of it by then!)
