179 cm, but it seems like college guys, at least the college I go to, are mostly freakin huge, like the average is 6'1 and 6'2. Do you think that is an ok height for a guy?

it's pretty much normal..the average height for a man in the US is 5' 8"

hahahaha 5`10" and a HALF.....you really do think of yourself as short....and truthfully, if your height concerns you THAT much, you are prone to more mental problems than physical. Ex// "the short man syndrome". I don't think you are short, just don't carry an unhealthy mental state about your height!
