Depends on your price range. Go to any search engine and type "Jack Russel Terrier breeders Southern California."

We got our, JRT, this time last year. We got her from a breeder out of Oklahoma, and had her flown to California. Make sure you know wether you want a long-legged or short-legged JRT. Also make sure you read up on the breed before deciding on one. They are a hyper breed that need a lot of attention. They usually can not be let off the leash, they dig, they can be yappers, they have "little dog syndrome", and they can be difficult with cats and other critters since they are taught to hunt for them.

It takes a certain type of person to have a JRT, please know this. My Vet told us that our JRT would be active from birth all the way until her death. They will live an average of 13-16 years.

Good luck. Make sure it is a reputable breeder, check with the JRT AKC website... Happy hunting :-)

Go to akc.org
They have breeder listings and referals by state and they will not refer you to a puppy mill and they have high health standards so you will be getting a healyth pup. You might have to drive an hour or two to the breeders house, but if he/she has your perfect puppy, than it's well worth the drive.

I highly suggest going to www.petfinder.com and searching for one at the many shelters in your area. You could save a life and money by adopting a homeless dog, instead of going to a breeder.
