it depends how your video camera works. If it records onto a CD, then put the cd intoyour computer, but if it dosent, try a cable that connects from your camera to the USB port in your computer.

Ignore the answers which suggest you use USB to transfer from a camcorder to computer. You need a firewire connection for this purpose. Your camcorder should have come with the necessary lead. You don't use windows media player, but windows movie maker.

If it came with a usb cord and a editing software, install the software then plug the usb into the pc and in the editing software click on the capture or rec streaming video other than that I would suggest you buy a dvd recorder record then edit into the pc.
