Yes, this is definitely true. If you eat healthy foods only when you are hungry, you will be keeping your metabolism up and going and satisfying your needs. When a person is anorexic and starves themself, they will (at first) lose weight, but once they start eating again, the pounds will come back on them and they may even start to weigh more than they previously did. It is best to just eat healthily every few hours and excercise regularly. If you do those 2 things, you should feel good about yourself and be in the best possible shape you can be.
*Excercise 3-4 times a week, for about 20 minutes (20+ minutes is what gets your heart rate up and starts burning the calories.) Also, if you sweat profusely often, you are more than likely losing a lot of weight while excercising (which is good if you want to lose some weight.)

I think so. I do my best to have some fruit and some vegetables everyday, and some meat or nuts, milk or cheese, and some bread or grains, and I eat only when I'm hungry and I don't stuff myself. And I compensate for eating junk food. Today, for example, I decided to eat peanut M & M's for breakfast, so I ate a light lunch and I am having a light dinner. Someone offered me cookies today, but I said no because of my candy breakfast. All that being said, I feel my best when I eat the way I described, and it keeps my weight down too, which is another big plus!

There's a book I read that made so much sense, called, "Eat when you're hungry, stop when you're full." You are supposed to eat only when you are truly hungry, not bored or stressed or because something tastes so good or whatever, and then don't ever overeat. Stop when you are satisfied, not stuffed, you know? It makes all the sense in the world, if only it were EASY to do just that...

I doubt that it is true because I am very skinny and I eat all of the time, even when I am not hungry. I am very healthy and active, too. I think that excercise makes the most diffrence.

hi there! :-)

partly true , also depends on the type of food we eat & the calorie intake . Exercise is very important as we age , our metabolic rate slows down so its very easy for us to put on weight as we grow older.

Yep, you need to listen to your body, not watch the clock. Make sure you follow your own pyramid and get plenty of exercise as well.
