I dont know when or why the rainbow was adopted as the symbol of the gay community but in Christianity it was also God's promise to Noah to never again flood the earth. I was thinking about Noah and how he and his bunch had a male and female of every animal to repopulate the earth and when you think about it the Noah story is a tale about the power of heterosexual relationships and reproduction. How fitting of Satan to twist it into a flag of gay relationships

I don't think the rainbow was ever yours. It existed far before your religion was ever conceived of.
If the rainbow is a promise that God will never flood the Earth again, why are there hundreds of floods every year?

Actually it is a natural phenomenom having to do with the refraction of light rays through water vapor. Even before Noah we had rainbows. If you believe that it is a gift from God to Noah, shouldn't all of us be allowed to use the symbol? I don't recall anywhere in the Bible where God followed up by saying "Oh, and only heterosexual Christians can use this as a symbol from now on." Where was that part? Can you point out what verse that is? No? So then your question is baseless, shallow, and pedantic. Looks like Satan is working through you as well, to spread hatred of others instead of "loving thy neighbors as thy self". Just another question you posed to see how many answers you can get! Great! Using Gods name for personal gain! Everyone join me in laughing and pointing at this messenger of the Morning Star.

I too have pondered this...we know that it takes Satan very little to twist a human mind as is apparent in society today! However because tolerance has been preached for so long that people think we have to accept the rainbow as a symbol of gay pride...I do not accept that. I have a hard time wearing rainbow because I do not want people to get the wrong idea but when I do, I am sure to clarify that the original rainbow was created as a promise not to flood the earth again!

I think you need to get a life.

Stop being so concerned about symbols and your small little world and start looking at the bigger picture: your small mind and how prejudice you are. Spreading hate is a full time job with you and your kind? The only person doing "Satans" work here is you, spreading your misinformation, your prejudices and your hatred.

Someone else said it and I think it bears repeating - closed minds should also come with closed mouths.

I'm pretty sure the rainbow is being used by the gay community as a symbol for diversity and inclusiveness. What's with the animosity?

Yes! The rainbow is a sign of natural beaty (really its the splitting of light into its consituent wavelengths), but homos should have a different symbol.

Actually I don't think there should be homos, anyone doubts the sexuality, ship em to an island where they can live with other homos.

Then we can nuke it oneday when all the homos from all countries are there.

You are right...Satan has taken something special and twisted it.
One of the signs of the Second Coming is there will be no more rainbow in the sky...watch for it to not be there!

I agree, it should be taken back! But somehow it became the gay symbol. But unless you actually see the word 'gay' or something near it, you wouldn't actually think of it as gay pride.
