Well, I lied to my mom almost 3 weeks ago and she grounded me for 2 and then all of a sudden she decides she doesn't like how short she chose to ground me and so she grounded me more. Then I call my real dad to vent to him(he lives in Pennsylvania) and I got in trouble. This has been happening, everytime I talk to my dad I get in trouble(my parents are divorced) and my mom says I can call and talk to any of her sisters or even her brother, but I want to talk to who I want to not who she chooses. What should I do?!?!

How old are u? maybe you mom think she is doing the best for you, but you should sit her down and explain that although things maybe bad or what ever with her and your dad, that she has no right to stop you talking to him. as for the grounding you ll just have to do the time un fair maybe but you still live by her rules and nobody likes a liar

best of luck

well since you lied to your mother, she has every right to punish you in which she feels right. and if you want talk to your dad but don't vent on him. call him to say hi, but don't say nothing about your mother, you did wrong by lying to her, and stand up and take the responsiblity of it. and stop putting it on your mom. like its her fault that you lied. and maybe when you start acting like an adult. she won't be so harsh on you. but calling your dad and complaining to him all your doing is saying that your mom grounded you for nothing, and expects him to do something about it. so if you don't want to get punished start behaving.

Your mother certainly has the right to ground if she feels the punishment is in your best interest, and hopefully you will learn the lesson that it's not good to lie.
But you have every right to talk to your biological father, and she has no right to restrict that. She probably prefers that you talk to her siblings because she feels they will be a better influence on you, and that your father may not give you good advice.

Compromise - talk to one of her siblings about how your mother restricts your communication with your father. Tell them why you prefer to talk to him about certain subjects, or simply to remain close to him.

Have you tried letting your parents talking about it or have you tried talking to your mom and making an agreement.

Just listen to your mom honey. Its not as bad as you may think, one day when you are all grown up you will look back on this time and think it was so funny. Believe me I know, just mind your mom and do as she says, and everything will work out fine in the end
